Description
PBIS Rewards Parent is a parents/ guardians portal to the PBIS Rewards system. Parents/Guardians can use the app to see the accomplishments and goals met through the PBIS Rewards program. They are able to keep track of the points earned, referrals, and purchases from the school's store as well as upcoming events. To use the PBIS Rewards Parent app you will need a letter from your school that contains a QR Code that you can scan by touching the Green Plus button. Call your student’s school to request this letter. The PBIS Rewards suite includes the PBIS Rewards Staff App (for teachers and admins), the PBIS Rewards Student App and the PBIS Rewards Parent App. For more information about PBIS Rewards please see our website (www.pbisrewards.com)

This app promotes a token economy where students are incentivized (i.e. conditioned) towards some desired behavior. Children quickly learn to leverage their behavior in order to get a desired trinket. Some will behave poorly to raise the value of the trinket offered in exchange for the desired behavior. Sustained over a school career, children learn (are conditioned) to manipulate others to get what they want. They feel they are entitled to a prize for every small desired action. I am not in favor of an app that teaches my children to behave only so far as they are getting something for it. Also, the design is...not good.

Every time it updates you have to sign in and I never have the codes to scan to get back in

Suggestions: 1. Move the sign out button away from the bottom. Way too easy to accidentally sign out and have to redo everything! 2. Too many clicks to find anything. Messages, points comments, especially for multiple children. 3. There’s a glitch when adding multiple children. You add one and get an error when trying to add the next. You have to sign out, lose all data, and then you’re able to add multiple children.
