Description
Humans are creatures of habit. Using the app will give you a 24 hour insight into how much food you consume, and the quality of it based off a simple bite system. Whenever you consume food, beverage or a snack you document it. At the end of the day, you will see your bite total. The goal is to have a low total! For LessBites is intended to help the user develop a personalized approach to weight loss focused on learning the eating habits of the user and gradually modifying the quality, quantity and frequency of dietary intake to achieve weight loss. By clicking the plus sign at the bottom of the screen the user can enter a meal and answer questions regarding stomach capacity after eating and the general quality of food. Added to the menu are options for beverage and dessert entries. This will generate a total bite score for that meal. Another option is to add a snack that will come with a standard bite score depending on the snack type. A separate tab exists for a beverage only entry with an assigned bite score. Naturally unsweetened drinks including water, unsweetened tea, and black coffee are considered bite free drinks The user is free to add comments in the text box with each entry to help him or her in this process. The user can also take pictures of the meals to help correlate the bite score with the quality of food. Over time the user will be able to follow his eating patterns and develop a bite score that correlate with his current weight. By adjusting these variables over time the user will be able to lose the weight through gradual changes without trying to calculate and keep tract of exact calorie values. Using the website the user can access the same data with more detailed views and analysis.
