Description
Instant Diabetes Test (IDT) is a quick 2 minute Type 2 risk calculator. It uses your phone's camera to record your pulse from your finger. Then analyze it along with your age, gender, height, and weight data to estimate the risk of Type 2 diabetes. Your data is analyzed and compared to data from other users with and without diabetes. We’ve analyzed 2 million heart pulse measurements from more than 120,000 users out of which 27,000 have Type 2 Diabetes. A machine learning algorithm takes into account pulse measurement and your demographic data to estimate a risk of having Type 2 diabetes. Low IDT score means your data are more similar to the data of a person without Type 2 diabetes and a high IDT score means your data are more similar to the data of a person with Type 2 diabetes. This IDT score is called a digital biomarker (3). You should not use it for self-diagnosing and it only provides a risk estimate, for information and research purposes only. Your IDT score can change over time and could also be affected by external factors, like drinking alcohol or exercising prior to the measurement. High levels of stress could also affect it. For best results measure regularly and monitor how your IDT score changes over time (4). Instant Diabetes Test does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions regarding your health.
