Description
The Mac has some of the best built-in accessibility tools of any computing platform. But in some cases, you need just a bit more help than what you get out of the box. assistEyes Speak aims to bridge a few key gaps in macOS. *Speak text from images*  The app watches the system clipboard for any images, checking for text content. Simply copy any image to the clipboard, and instantly, the app will run OCR on the contents and speak any detected text aloud. When used in combination with the macOS screenshot function (Cmd + Shift + 3), you can now get spoken text for any on-screen text, regardless of whether or not VoiceOver can read it. * Speak selected text * The built-in macOS feature to "speak selected text" is great, but it doesn't work in some apps. With this feature enabled, the app uses the legacy method of first copying text to the clipboard and then speaking it. This means that as long as an app allows you to copy text, it can be read aloud. Whether you use VoiceOver or not, assistEyes Speak is a great way to get just a bit more functionality out of your Mac's screen reader. We're committed to listening to your feedback and improving the app with additional functions as we hear ideas and suggestions.
