I really liked renting chargers from AnkerBox when I needed to, but I changed the app settings to not allow notifications and I still get 10-20 notifications a day. I have never had an app override my settings like this before, but it's so obnoxious that I'm deleting the app. I don't know what else to do.

I loved AnkerBox (prior review below) but it no longer works. I have tried frustratingly for the past three time to rent when I NEED a battery and the app says network not available and the box won't spit out a battery. Very sad and frustrating to see a great product go by the wayside. This product could have succeeded had Anker invested in some marketing instead of hoping people spot them at a bar and try them. --- This product is AWESOME. So slick...your phone is dying, you open this app and moments later a battery is ejected from the machine for you to use for free for 30 minutes. Desperate for a longer charge? $1.99. Easy. And you can return the battery to anywhere that has these things (they appear to be EVERYWHERE in Seattle). They are very smart too...without asking they know what kind of charger you need (lightning or micro usb). Highly recommended!

For my use case this was probably perfect. So I was visiting Seattle and my battery was low. I was at a restaurant that had an AnkerBox. I thought it looked cool, cuz I'm from San Francisco and we see new tech like this a lot, and I realized it could solve my problem! So I gave it a try and was happy to get 30 free minutes!!! I was expecting to pay right away, so that was nice. Took only 3 minutes to figure it out and add my credit card. Then I could have enough battery to use Google Maps to be able to get back to my AirBnB! Thank god! & Love the ejecting device, so futuristic. Bring this to SF. :)
