Description
This app is for participants in the research study called American Life in Realtime (ALiR), a sub-study of the Understanding America Study (UAS) sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). There are many consumer devices (Apple Watch, RunKeeper, Fitbit, Noom Coach) available today that can help you take care of your health and wellbeing. But these tools may not work well for everybody because the studies that prove their effectiveness are usually small and do not include people from diverse backgrounds. This creates inequality in healthcare, which hurts our most vulnerable communities the most. In this study, we would like to use Fitbit devices to understand how we can use digital data to improve everyone’s health by making sure we include people who represent the diversity of all of America.
